What is the tear of the Virgin Holy Mary.
Tradition tells us that when Christ was crucified, the poppies were white but a drop of the blood of Jesus fell on them and since then they have turned red. The sign of the Cross has formed inside of them in black, since then they come out every Easter to remind us of it.
In the same way, tradition says that the tears of the Virgin Mary for the Crucified Jesus fell to the earth and a plant grew that was called the tears of the Virgin Mary.
This plant thrives mainly on Mount Athos where the monks gather its fruits and make their handmade rosary called the Tear of the Virgin Mary.
